Flowers
This page is to display photographs of flowers that I have taken over the years mostly on our property either in Tucson, Arizona or San Jose, California.
Night Blooming Cereus
The night blooming Cereus is a tuber that looks much like a stick much of the year. It grows in arid reagons such as in the Sonoran desert, if the plant blooms at all it is in the spring of the year if it blooms in a particular year, the blooms appear each night for from 2 to 4 nights. During the day the bloom closes up and appears to be dead. We are lucky to ever see these blossoms.

These photos were taken in front of my next door neighbor's house, Noni and Mary Euler. We were excited to see so many blossoms at one time. Noni thinks it is the first time the plants have bloomed in the 20 years she has lived in the house.
